Always placing too much faith in the dramatic then levelled with a dull surprise My pupils reel to the back of my skull to not look at the suits and the ties And yet their throes still crawl into my head The boundry falters with all role-models now dead Putrid stink of what's begun pales before what can be done And as the empty space devours it all I look up at the sky to watch it fall To watch it fall You've been through this burning marsh before Long has it been claimed your home I suppose I'll soon come across your corpse if in this I continue to roam But it's become so boring now You are the expert with every why and how So tired of the new recruits yet amused with their drab pursuits So as my world tilts, balanced on one notch I find you in the wings prepared to watch To watch it fall
