Tidbit for the day

Interesting thing about regret:

Regret means you're unhappy with some decisions you made earlier in life. However, those decisions that you made have turned you into who you are today. So, are you unhappy with where you are? Is that why you regret what happened before?

I think we can all agree that the past is unchangeable, so instead of wishing you'd walked a different path, use that thinking time and energy to decide why you're unhappy now, and what decisions can be made now to change it.

That's harder, I suppose, because we can change the present, and having that kinda power scares people, and using it implies possible consequences that we're not always willing to face. But very rarely will your situation change without you doing so. . .
